« Even the rain » deal about Indian’s defenders, Spanish colonization and the water conflict in Cochabamba in 2000. I was immediately confronted with the similarities of those three themes. Struggle for existence never changed, and the clause of the laws which people are fighting for are quite the same, even if the fights have 400 years of gap.
This movie really made me things about what I believed in, and it made me sad. There are so much inequalities in our society. We can have whatever we want, we only must to push a switch and water is flowing, lights are shining. We can go to supermarket and buy what we want, even if we don’t need it. And, somewhere, not so far from us, people are fighting against social injustices toward a better future to their children and grand-children even if they have to pay from their lives. Is that normal?
